Hi guys and gals.

I'm trying to put together a budget suit for few free trial days at the track here.

So far I've got a Teknic perforated leather jacket with connection zipper that I will probably be hooking up to a pair of teknic thunder leather pants. I also have a pair of joe rocket speedmaster gloves.

What I am looking at now are boots. I've found a used set of A* SMX boots in my size and black. I've read some reviews, they seem to be average, but I really don't know what else to look at. I would like them to be black to match the rest of the "outfit". I also don't want to break the bank. I guess leather would be nice but not neccessary, any reccoemndations?

SMX are good one!
even GPS would do the trick!

You don't need the top quality one for just a couple of track day!
You can also look at cruiser bbot!
some got all the protection (toes slider) and are less expensive (SIDI strada for exemple)
there's a lot of brand out there!

teknic, Sidi, Alpinestar, Joe Rocket, Oxstar, Dainesse.. all depend on your taste, confort and budget!

I never said it was free, but a free trial. In other words un-organized no track officials you just pay $40, sign a waiver and on the track you go.
